AIA Florida is actively seeking to identify and recognize those members who in their daily lives are playing an important part in shaping the world through leadership in their communities. The Citizen Architect program recognizes those who have contributed to their communities through service on not-for-profit boards, governmental office or boards, design charrettes or any other effort that demonstrates the leadership of the architect as a citizen in the community.
While service the AIA is greatly appreciated, this recognition acknowledges a body of work in the community and civic involvement. If not including service as an elected official, please cite multi-faceted civic service. Service to AIA should only be included in terms of how it has contributed to the community.
Please fill in the required information and submit to AIA Florida. The 2019 class of Citizen Architects will receive their pins and certificates at AIA Florida’s Legislative Day on January 28, 2020 in Tallahassee. Members may apply themselves. Components are encouraged to identify members to apply. It is not necessary to be nominated by your component.
