Wide selection of large print books and wonderful resources available.

All I needed was a quiet place to work, and this branch hit the mark. It’s quiet, there is space for people who have their own equipment, the wifi is free, the staff is friendly and helpful without being in the way.

What’s not to love? Tons of books. A beautiful building. Very nice employees. Escape from the crazy world.

As a kid, I loved doing the reading challenges. As a teen, I would go with my friends to the library to hang out and talk about books. Nowadays I borrow ebooks for my kindle. I’ve grown up with my library.

The Colonie Library has been part of our family for nearly 40 years. It has provided information and entertainment for our children, and now for me and my husband in our senior years.

The library has kept my brain alive through (and before) the pandemic.
