Canadian singer-songwriter Claudia Bouvette has been hard at work lately, putting together the finishing touches to her upcoming EP, Cool It (due June 12). Living up to the snappy title is the track of the same name, a quirky piece of pop music centred around Bouvette's arrestingly soft yet potent vocals, and filled with off-kilter moments and surprising turns. The production on this comes from fellow Canadian Connor Seidel who provides a bed of playful electronics and popping percussion with enough restraint to let Bouvette's sugary vocals keep the spotlight.
Speaking with Complex via email, Bouvette explained the message behind the song: "When difficulties seize your best, take a moment to collect yourself and find your symmetry."
