Jean Luc Goddard will be unveiling two new collections. One of them will be a newly acquired skill and passion in the field of metal sculptures and another working with clear acrylic  materials.

46 Simsbury Road, West Granby
Annukka Ritalahti will be demonstrating glass bead and small sculpture-making using the oxygen/propane torch, glass mosaics construction techniques and the different steps to make stained glass sun-catchers.

105 Silver Street, North Granby
Oil painter, Alexander Anisimov, will be exhibiting at the Lost Acres Vineyard. He is a classically trained, Russian artist, and will be creating charcoal and sepia portraits for visitors. The portraits will take fifteen to twenty minutes and cost only $25. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made at: 860-408-1671

Folk Art painter, Anne Winsor, is participating in the Open Studio Tour for the first time. She's welcoming guests to her new studio space.

53 Silkey Road, North Granby
Mark Gottlieb will be hosting  glass-blowing demonstrations in our hot-shop all day long throughout the weekend. You can follow a variety of techniques used in glass-blowing. There will be visiting artists as well because some of the more advanced techniques require group work.

105 Silver Street, North Granby
Barbara Schmitt will be demonstrating her chain saw carvings all weekend! Along with her larger carvings, she will also have some small fun Halloween items for sale. 

2 Woodland Drive, Granby
Laura Eden paints both in watercolor (many of them large wall sized paintings) and egg tempera. Laura will have an egg tempera painting in progress so you can see how she creates her works.

 11 Juniper Drive
Sally Markey will be demonstrating how to make  paste paper on Saturday and also how to use that paper to make small journal books on Sunday. Of course her paintings and drawings are all displayed as well together with her handmade jewelry and soft-toys.

137 Wells Road, Granby
Scott Duncan will be demonstrating how to turn pens, bowls and bottle stoppers this weekend. During the past year he has  also used 200 year old barn beams to make unique candle holders. He's added pendants to his product line as well as vessels suitable for potpourri or essential oils. Come and watch the chips fly!

24 Silkey Road, North Granby
Debby Reelitz, invites the curious to try their hand at calligraphy. On Saturday and Sunday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30 she will be teaching a free mini calligraphy class. Saturday's class will introduce guests to the Blackletter style and Sunday's class will introduce  Uncial, a lettering style of Irish heritage, (see sample above). 

24 Silkey Road, North Granby
Potter, Avis Cherichetti, will be demonstrating at 10 a.m. and noon both on Saturday and Sunday. Cherichetti will be throwing on the wheel, manipulating and trimming bowls in her seed pod and flower series.

31 Barndoor Hills Road
Linda Yurasevecz has been making pottery for about 15 years. In addition to making functional stoneware pieces, Linda loves other firing techniques.  With each piece, she tries to create a design and a glaze combination that will bring out the best in that shape.
