After breaking through with debut single Brontos which Clash accurately described as ‘post-club’, the trio from Gothenburg have been paving their own soundtrack to that time when it’s too late to go to bed, but too early to get up. Then end of 2015 saw the guys release Snowboy, followed by being asked to open for Chimes and playing a slot at the Rockaway Beach Festival alongside Young Fathers and Ghostpoet. The stage was seemingly set. Emmecosta's new present His Power Of Youth might be going for "Post-club tropical indie soul”. And why shouldn’t they… After all it’s 21st century where the sonic world is their creative oyster. Start with London Bass artists Belgrave and NOVAA, then combine the production of Mount Kimbie and Gold Panda and you’ll see what platform we’re on here. There are elements of James Blake’s usage of sonic space in a relaxed manner, and topped with Josef Salvat’s more acoustic details of the Hustler-esque pulsating backbone of the production.
