In nearly 60 years of existence, the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) has never reached 500 members.
I am pleased to report, due to the outreach efforts of our great staff, the Board of Directors, and the existing membership, we are at 489 – only 11 away from that number!
I am also proud to let you know that the benefits of being a MEDA member are better than ever (and at a very low annual cost of only $295), with many great programs and services focused on education, networking, and advocacy at a statewide level that can enhance the careers of people in a variety of professions, including:
-
Brownfield Redevelopment
-
Business Finance
-
Chambers of Commerce
-
Community Development
-
Consulting
-
Downtown Development
-
Environmental Consulting
-
Higher Education
-
Municipalities
-
Planning
-
Private and Public Economic Development Organizations
-
Real Estate Development
-
State Agencies
-
Utilities and infrastructure
-
Workforce Development
Current MEDA members - we would love to announce we have reached 500 at our Annual Meeting in Marquette in August, and need your help to make it happen!
If you know of a person who is working in any of these areas and not currently a member, please email Cassandra at cjorae@medaweb.org with their information, so we can reach out to them and discuss the benefits of joining!
Justin Horvath, President, MEDA Board of Directors
