Shannon Worrell is a 4th generation Hereford and Angus breeder from Mason, TX. Shannon’s family ranch, Grote Angus Ranch, was founded in 1888 and has received the Historic Herd Award from the American Angus Association. Upon graduation from Texas A&M University, she was Marketing Director for Capital Farm Credit, then National Accounts Manager in the Animal Health industry. For the past 8 years she has been a Partner at AG 1 Source, a human resources and recruiting firm specializing in the agriculture industry. She and husband, James, and son, Jarrett own Worrell Enterprises. They are very active in the national livestock shows showing Hereford cattle. They do custom embryo and breeding work at the ranch in Mason. Shannon also serves on the National Hereford Women Board of Directors.
 
 
 
 
 
Gregg Stewart is a fifth generation stockman from Washington, Kansas, where he was born and raised. He along with his family operate a diversified farm and a large cow/calf operation with three annual auctions. He attended Colby Community College on a Livestock Judging Scholarship and continued his education at Kansas State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Industry. He was a member of both school’s livestock judging teams and each garnered National Championship Titles.

The family operation better known as Mid Continent Farms registers cattle in five different breeds and has produced numerous State Fair and Major Show Champions over the last several years. The Stewart Family also has a registered Angus operation with an annual bull sale in April. The Jones Stewart Angus Ranch is one of the largest registrars of Angus Cattle in Kansas. This operation focuses on the practicle, functional traits with emphasis on calving ease and stacked strong maternal tendencies.

Gregg and his wife Debbie have three sons; Garrett a Dr. of Veterinarian Medicine who along with his wife Stevie own and operate the Washington Veterinarian Clinic. Tucker an Attorney who works for the Kansas Livestock Association. And Brigham a popular livestock evaluator and past National FFA/Collegiate Livestock Judging Champion who runs the day to day operations of the Family ranch.
 
 
 
 
 
Jack Ward, Plattsburg, MO American Hereford Association (AHA) Executive Vice President, joined the AHA team in 2003.

He graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture economics, and an Associates of Science degree from Black Hawk College, East Campus

Jack and his wife, Mary Ann, have two boys — Cameron and Carter.  Both sons were very active in youth livestock programs. The Ward family currently runs about 50 cows.

Jack has judged livestock shows throughout the US and in 7 different foreign countries for over 30 years.

Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association (JBBA): JBBA's mission is to promote youth outreach through friendly competition, education and leadership skills while raising, showing and promoting quality Beefmaster cattle for the future of the industry.

JBBA was founded in 1984, as more and more young cattlemen became involved in the Beefmaster breed. Its membership has increased steadily, and the number of programs JBBA offers to its members has grown dramatically. JBBA is moving with the Beefmaster breed to the forefront of the beef cattle industry.
