For some reason, it feels like it's been no less than 666 years since the last time I was given the gift of a Lil Uzi Vert writing assignment. Upon second inspection, it's actually only been, like, a month. But still, it's nice to have some new Uzi to speak of.
The latest arrives via a collab with Lil Gotit and Lil Keed. Stream the Supah Mario-produced track, appropriately titled "Heavy Metal," up top via YouTube and/or below via SoundCloud:

The latest presumed Uzi one-off arrives in the wake of continued Eternal Atake teases. As previously reported with sustained levels of gusto, Eternal Atake—as far as anyone can tell, anyway—is the title of Uzi's full-length Luv Is Rage 2 follow-up. In a somewhat surprising turn of events, initial Eternal Atake teases were met with threats of legal action from surviving members of the Heaven's Gate cult.
Last month, Uzi released what is believed to be a single from the project. "New Patek," produced by Dolan Beats, quickly careened into the Billboard Hot 100, ultimately peaking at No. 24 just last week.
Anyway, will Eternal Atake prove to be the previously announced freestyle rock album that's supposedly set to include input from Marilyn Manson? I can't confirm one way or the other with any level of confidence, and Uzi's not one for social media-shared confirmations these days, so I guess part of the joy of Eternal Atake will be the increasingly layered journey we all take to get there. Fuck, am I in a cult?
