Who can come?
  • Girls in every Georgia county from the following homes and programs: Foster homes, group homes, grandparents raising grandchildren, relative care homes, fictive kin, and therapeutic foster homes regardless of per diem. (Please note that non-relative foster teens who are in their pre-adoptive or adoptive home do not qualify if parental rights have been terminated.)
  • Girls must be in high school only (grades 9th through 12th).
  • Girls must have a verified reservation and be accompanied by a registered female adult chaperone. Only one chaperone (and/or registered transporter) per teen is allowed and chaperones must show their photo ID to enter.
  • Due to limited space, we cannot allow other children, friends, or family members into this event - it is only for the prom attendee and her chaperone.
  • Due to the nature of the event, teen girls' biological parents are not allowed.
  • Girls in high school ROTC programs who are in foster care, relative care, or group homes are invited. Only one (1) dress per girl regardless of how many events they plan to attend.
  • Girls may keep their dresses and accessories or return them after their prom so that others can use them at a later event.

What will they do?
  • Girls will choose from a selection of beautiful prom dresses to take home for a perfect evening at their own high school prom. The girl's chosen dress must be approved by her chaperone.
  • Special stations will be set up for accessories such as shoes, shawls, purses, jewelry, and make up with consultants available to help.
  • Hair consultants will help teens choose from an assortment of hair products and embellishments and discuss the best styles.
  • A photographer may be present to take a photo of the teen in her chosen attire to be emailed at a later date.
