PREMIERE: Woodlock Release New Music Video For “The Future Of An End”

Today we are pleased to join forces with the great guys of Woodlock for the premiere of their new music video for their title song “The Future Of An End,” off their new album.

While not following a chronological timeline, much of what follows on The Future Of An End is an exercise in Zech dealing with the emotional fallout of his breakdown. Adding to the emotional complexity of the album, just as Zech’s relationship was falling apart, his brother Eze had fallen in love and was getting married. That emotional disparity can be heard throughout the album – a dynamic mix of organic, acoustic elements and alt-pop flourishes. This album is the most frank of the band’s career.  Some of this elements can be found in the rather simple visuals that follows our lead singer as he walks into a beautiful landscape, dancing his way throughout the street, while the desolated nature does a great job building this contrast between the joy and the loneliness.

About the song, Ezra comments “‘The Future Of An End’ is one of our favorite songs on the new album. It sparked the name and theme for the album and put into perspective a time in our lives when we created these songs.  It’s the end of something that was both sad and somewhat depressing. But, the future holds so much potential because it’s unknown, and that sense of adventure in the unknown is the spark you need for hope and happiness. With that, this song has such a sense of joy about it.”
